Chief Executive Officer
For 11 years, Frans was founder and former CEO of Scheuten Solar. He is a serial entrepreneur and non exec board member in semiconductor and renewable industries. Frans boasts of 17 years’ PV industry leadership experience, 7 years in the semi conductor industry, and 5 years at Solarcentury.
Chief Financial Officer
Neil has been CFO at Solarcentury for 16 years. Previously he was Director of No.1 rated Latin American equity research team at ING Barings and CEO ING Barings Argentina, with 7 years’ experience as a Portfolio manager covering Europe and Japan.
Board Director (Founder)
Social entrepreneur Jeremy, author of The Carbon War and Half Gone, is the founder of Solarcentury and founder and chairman of SolarAid, an African solar lighting charity set up with Solarcentury profits. Described by the Observer as “Britain’s most respected green energy boss,” he writes and blogs for the Guardian, the Financial Times, and Sublime Magazine.
Director of Global Strategy & Resources
Formerly David was head of product development and finance offers at Solarcentury. Prior to that he was part of PwC’s strategy and transaction team. He has 11 years' experience in solar and 5 in blue chip strategy consulting, with 11 years at Solarcentury.
Director of Global Development & Finance
Previously Barbara was Vice President International Project Development and Finance at Conergy. With 12 years’ experience in the renewable industry and 2 years at Solarcentury, she has more than 18 years in M&A and structured finance in the banking and renewable energy industry.
Director of Global Operations & Procurement
Steve heads up the logistics and warehouse functions as well as Global Operation & Engineering Standards and the SCADA/Monitoring Team. He has 14 years in the semiconductor industry, working for one of the top 3 distributors worldwide. He moved into procurement where he spent 5 years as Director of Procurement before taking up the same role in 2014 for Solarcentury.
Managing Director, Latin America
Enrique has 10 years of international experience in the renewable energy sector developing, financing and building solar PV plants in Europe and LatAm, He joined Solarcentury in 2017 when EcoSolar merged with Solarcentury. Previously he was Business Manager at Ecosolar (private equity fund focused in solar PV investments in LatAm) and an Associate at Global Solar Fund (Private Equity fund focused in renewables in Europe).
Managing Director, EMEA
Tim is in charge of business development and strategy for Europe and Africa. He has secured over 600MW of contracts for Solarcentury over the past 6 years as the head of the UK and more recently European sales teams. He comes to Solarcentury with 15 years experience in the Aerospace sector in commercial and operational management as well as corporate strategy and M&A, followed by 9 years in the renewables sector in sales/business development.
Managing Director, Residential
Susannah leads the residential business which includes managing the global relationship with IKEA. She has worked in the solar industry for nearly a decade. Formally Chief Marketing Officer, and before that, head of UK sales for Solarcentury. Before that, she held various sales and marketing roles for EY and was latterly EY’s Marketing Director for Assurance across EMEA.
Gary Le Sueur
Gary is a Partner at SEP where he focuses on investing in the oil and gas, environmental and clean energy sectors as well as being heavily involved in the firm's fundraising and investor relations activities. As a founding member of SEP, Gary was instrumental in SEP's recent raising of the Environmental Energies Fund, a £95 million secondary fund raised by SEP in partnership with SSE plc and other investors, and currently heads up this side of SEP's business.
Pat is currently COO and MD at VantagePoint Capital Partners, one of Silicon Valley’s leading venture capital firms specialising in energy innovation and efficiency, with over $4 billion under management. Her responsibilities include deal flow, investment activity, mergers and acquisitions and board-level participation at a number of portfolio companies. Pat has an extensive 34-year background of successfully leading and growing workforces globally, managing multi-million dollar budgets and advising executives.
Samer is the Founder and CEO of Zouk Capital, a private equity and infrastructure fund manager. The Growth Capital team invests in high-growth technology companies capitalising on a wide spectrum of investment opportunities. The Infrastructure team finances the construction of renewable energy and environmental assets. Samer has 27 years’ experience in private equity, investment banking and technology, and oversees both the strategic direction of the firm and the investment process.
Andreas is CEO of Grupo ECOS with an investment focus on clean technologies, renewable energy and sustainable forestry. Previously he was Executive Director at Amanco Agricultural Solutions, a leading Latin American irrigation systems provider based in Brazil. He is a Member of the Boards of Avina Foundation, of the Business Council for Sustainable Development (BCSD) Panama, of the Advisory Boards of the IADB Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility, and of the Latin American Advisory Board of the World Water Forum.
Derrick has worked in the utility industry undertaking various roles for over 30 years, the last 15 of which were spent working in Corporate Development roles leading various acquisitions, new business opportunities and joint ventures. He has considerable experience across a range of projects and businesses both in the creation and disposal of key ventures. These include building a portfolio of PFI projects, managing a portfolio of venture capital investments and teams as well as a number of overseas businesses. Derrick is currently Director of SGN Smart.
