At Solarcentury we are dedicated to our purpose and involved in many projects which aim to encourage the uptake of renewable technologies and inspire the 'intelligent generation'.

We are all part of this adventure, the transition to a low carbon economy is happening now. Every one of us can make individual choices to help bring forward the day that renewables soar into dominance over fossil fuels.

       
We Support Solar is a UK solar Initiative to promote solar power. It's main objective is to persuade our Government to set the correct rate for the UK feed-in tariff in order to encourage the uptake of this valuable technology and help meet the UK's renewable energy targets for 2015. Sign up now and support the campaign and join the Facebook group to encourage more support.
The Peak Oil Group is a UK task force on peak oil and energy security launched on 29th October 2008 at The London Stock Exchange. Eight leading UK companies launched a report, The Oil Crunch: Securing the UK’s energy future, warning that a peak in cheap, easily available oil production is likely to hit by 2013, posing a grave risk to the UK and world economy. Solarcentury recently sponsored a D&AD award to promote creative and innovative communication. We placed the brief in the Graphic Design section, asking students to design a piece of web-based communication to educate and engage viewers whilst raising awareness of solar energy. Check out some of the D&AD entries.
Jeremy Leggett's Blog - Our founder and Chairman writes for the Guardian newspaper about solar, peak oil and energy related issues. It's funny how many people commenting to try and tell him he's wrong or that solar will never work - guess they're not part of the Intelligent Generation! Read Jeremy's blog here.
Solar Aid - Inspired by Jeremy's vision, and keen to do more for the developing world, the team at Solarcentury helped start the charity Solar Aid. Unlike most charities Solar Aid works on the 'small is beautiful' theory, teaching entrepreneurs how to make and market solar products rather than handing out donations. And it's working: creating jobs, which reduce poverty, which improves education, whilst slowing carbon emissions.

No, we only operate in the UK, Spain, Italy and France atm, but get many inquiries from the USA. We do not currently have all the certification we'd need to sell there, or the staff or the organisational structure. Thanks for you interest though, do keep following the solar story!

I am sorry that you are not in the U.S. We have a Ranching Business and we depend on generator power and propane only. Due to the fuel and proprane prices we have been shopping for Solar and Wind power. During our search we have found that Solar Power would be the most efficient for our needs.
