The world’s largest solar PV bridge with a system of 1.1MWp providing 50% of the station’s annual power requirements. As part of a massive upgrade for London’s Blackfriars station, Network Rail were adding a roof over Blackfriars Bridge and asked Solarcentury to install solar panels. With over 6,000m² of PV, Blackfriars is now the world’s largest solar-powered bridge, providing 50% of the station’s energy and saving over 500 tonnes of CO2 per annum.Full case study
