Despite the obvious benefits and value of our products and services, there remain numerous hurdles to be overcome in this new and exciting market. We are constantly battling to overcome the prejudices and stagnant infrastructures that lie between us and our vision of clean green future.
In 2005 we have:
- Actively and passionately engaged with government both directly and via the Renewable Power Association to influence policy and funding for renewables in the UK - specifically to bring our nascent industry into line with those supported by governments in Germany and Japan.
- Actively participated in working groups and seminars to address technical difficulties associated with the embedded generation of electricity.
- Made a concerted effort to build solidarity in the renewables family through participation in the Government's Renewables Advisory Board.
- Dedicated resource to battling the misconceptions about the value of solar and other renewables and their relevance in the UK.
- Developed a unique financial modelling tool to help clients obtain a view of real payback for major investments in renewable energy installations.
- Developed the CORE Calculator to help planners and developers select appropriate mixes of micro-renewables for various kinds of new-build developments.
- Initiated the Walking Our Talk team to ensure we are living up to our principles.
